Note that these are 3D printed and there are slight imperfections/variations to each one, but the functionality is not impacted whatsoever. The teeth are thicker and sturdier than the OEM guards. They fit perfectly and have a satisfying snap when attached to the trimmer. Also, I thought it would have been better to have one set per person, but I couldn't find replacement guards in stock anywhere and especially in custom sizes larger than 1/2inch! That prompted me to create this custom design and lengths. Especially if you want to invest in a hair trimmer and save money on haircuts in the long run. I started cutting my kids' hair at home this year and needed custom sizes for our Wahl Peanut. We have piled up detailed descriptions along with images so that men can understand and visualize the clipper guard sizes and hair lengths (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) starting from number 1, all the way down to number 8. These are 3D printed guards made by me and my family. The guards only fit model 8655 as far as I'm aware. Please double check your model numbers, because not all Peanuts are model 8655. They might fit other smaller Wahls but I'm not sure. These only fit the Wahl Peanut (Model 8655) and not the full-sized Wahl models.
Hair clipper guard sizes in inches plus#
These are around 1 mm shorter because the Wahl Peanut blade itself is around 1 mm tall, so the total height of the guard plus the blade is around the target length.
The actual height of the guard is around 11.7 mm. For example, the 1/2 inch (#4) guard is intended to leave at most 1/2 inch or 12.7 mm of your hair. Also, note the dimensions of the clipper guards are around 1 millimeter (mm) shorter than the target length to account for the height of the Peanut cutting blades. The trimmer and scissors in the picture are not included.
